This 3 ingredient cranberry meatballs recipe is great as an appetizer for parties or game day. It also makes a delicious dinner for busy nights! I just throw it in the slow cooker and then make some rice and veggies to accompany it.
The recipe only calls for a 32 ounce bag of frozen meatballs, a 12 ounce bottle of chili sauce, and a 14 ounce can of jellied cranberry sauce. This recipe feeds our family of four a tasty dinner and we always have leftovers for the next day. With a teen and tween in the house, the leftovers don’t last long 🙂
If you are shopping at Aldi for the ingredients, the recipe should cost around $ 7.00 to make. You should note though that Aldi doesn’t carry cranberry sauce in their stores year round. It is a seasonal item that usually shows up in November and lingers into January. I usually stock up on several cans to get us through the year at this time!
If you can’t find cranberry sauce, you can substitute 14 ounces of your favorite jelly for the cranberry sauce. Our favorite to use is grape but apricot and strawberry have worked well for us too!
